Privacy Policy - AMVerse

1 Overview

AMVerse ("we", "us", or "our") operates amverse.co, the AMVerse Android app, and the AMVerse desktop overlay app (collectively, "AMVerse" or "the Service") - a free Adopt Me pet value tracker with optional account features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information, across all of these products.

By using AMVerse, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2 Information We Collect

You can use AMVerse's core value-tracking features - browsing pet values, charts, and the trade calculator - without creating an account or providing any personal information. Account creation is entirely optional, and only needed if you want to track pets, set value alerts, or receive notifications.

If you choose to sign in (via Discord or Roblox), we store:

Basic profile info - your username, avatar image, and a unique account identifier provided by Discord or Roblox. We never receive or store your email address, password, or any other Discord/Roblox account credentials - see Section 4.
Tracked pets and alerts - the pets you choose to track and the value thresholds you configure for alerts (e.g. "notify me if Shadow Dragon drops below 500k").
Notification history and preferences - a record of alerts that have fired for your account, whether they've been read, and your notification settings (e.g. whether Discord DM notifications are enabled).
Push notification tokens - if you enable push notifications on the Android app or website, we store a device token (provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging) and platform type so we can deliver alerts. These tokens automatically expire and are deleted after 90 days.
Session cookie - a secure, signed session identifier (connect.sid) that keeps you signed in. It contains no personal information directly - it's a reference to a session record stored in our database.

We may also collect the following automatically, regardless of whether you have an account:

Usage data - pages visited, time on site, referring URL, browser type, and device type, collected via Google Analytics on the website.
IP addresses - logged briefly by our hosting infrastructure (CapRover) and Cloudflare for security and abuse prevention. We do not store or process these beyond standard server logs.
Local storage - your theme preference (light/dark) is saved in your browser's localStorage. No data is sent to our servers from this.
Cookies - we use cookies for Google Analytics on the website. A cookie-consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies before any tracking begins.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected solely to:

Provide the account features you opt into - tracking pets, managing alerts, and showing your notification history.
Deliver alert notifications you've configured, via Discord DM, push notification, and/or in-app notification.
Keep you signed in across visits and, if you use the Android app, between the app and the website.
Understand how visitors use AMVerse so we can improve the Service.
Detect and prevent abuse, spam, or unauthorized API access.
Diagnose technical errors and maintain uptime.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4 Signing In with Discord or Roblox

AMVerse lets you optionally sign in using your Discord or Roblox account via OAuth - an industry-standard system that lets you authenticate without ever sharing your password with us.

Discord sign-in requests only the identify scope, which shares your Discord user ID, username, and avatar. We do not request or receive your email address, friends list, server memberships, or message history.
Roblox sign-in requests only the openid and profile scopes, which share your Roblox user ID, username, and avatar thumbnail. We do not request or receive your email address, friends list, or game/inventory data.

You can revoke AMVerse's access at any time from your Discord or Roblox account's connected-apps settings. Revoking access does not automatically delete your AMVerse account - see Section 12 (Your Rights) to request deletion.

5 Alerts & Notifications

If you set up a value alert, AMVerse can notify you when it triggers through up to three channels, depending on your settings and how you signed in:

Discord DM - sent via the AMVerse Discord bot to Discord accounts that have enabled DMs. This requires Discord to deliver the message on our behalf and is governed by Discord's own policies.
Push notifications - sent via Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging to the Android app or a subscribed browser. Firebase processes the device token and message payload under Google's Privacy Policy.
In-app notifications - shown in your AMVerse dashboard, stored only in our database.

You can disable any of these notification channels at any time from your AMVerse dashboard settings.

6 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on the website to collect anonymized usage statistics. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address (anonymized), browser, and pages visited. This data is processed by Google under their Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by declining cookies in our consent banner, using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.

7 AMVerse Android App

The AMVerse Android app gives you the same value-tracking features as the website, plus the ability to sign in and manage tracked pets, alerts, and push notifications on the go.

Signing in on the app uses a secure one-time exchange that links your app session to your AMVerse account - your Discord/Roblox credentials are never entered into or stored on the app itself. Once signed in, the app follows the same data practices described in Sections 2-5. If you enable push notifications, the app registers a Firebase device token as described in Section 5.

8 AMVerse Desktop Overlay App

The AMVerse desktop overlay app (Windows/Mac) is a floating trade calculator that displays publicly available pet values. It does not require or support signing in, and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It only fetches pet value data from our public API and periodically checks GitHub Releases for app updates.

9 Third-Party Services

AMVerse relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Elvebredd (elvebredd.com) and AMVGG (adoptmegame.gg) - the sources of the pet value data we display. We do not control their privacy practices.
Discord - used for optional sign-in (OAuth) and for delivering alert DMs via our bot. See Discord's Privacy Policy.
Roblox - used for optional sign-in (OAuth). See Roblox's Privacy Policy on roblox.com.
Google / Firebase - used for website analytics and for delivering push notifications. See Google's Privacy Policy.
GitHub - used to host and distribute updates for the desktop overlay app.
Cloudflare and CapRover - our hosting and security infrastructure, which may briefly log IP addresses for abuse prevention.

AMVerse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with Elvebredd, AMVGG, Discord, Roblox, Google, GitHub, Adopt Me, or the Roblox Corporation.

10 Data Retention

Pet value snapshots are stored in our database to power historical charts and change tracking. This data contains no personal information - only game values and timestamps.

If you create an account, we retain your profile info, tracked pets, alerts, and notification history for as long as your account exists, so these features keep working across sessions and devices. Push notification tokens are automatically deleted after 90 days. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time - see Section 12.

Server access logs (including IP addresses) are retained for a short period as required for security monitoring, then automatically deleted.

11 Children's Privacy

AMVerse is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Account sign-in is also subject to Discord's and Roblox's own age requirements. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

The right to access, export, or delete any personal data we hold about you - including your entire AMVerse account and all associated tracked pets, alerts, and notification history.
The right to opt out of analytics tracking (Section 6) or any notification channel (Section 5).
The right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

You can permanently delete your AMVerse account and all associated data yourself at any time from our Delete Account page - no need to contact us. For any other data access or export requests, contact us using the methods below and we'll action your request promptly.

13 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time - for example, when we add new features or platforms. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AMVerse after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
